Gist alert! Na our Nollywood diva, Laide Bakare, dey trend everywhere again. This time, the actress don carry social media wahala as she don open up about why she decided to introduce her daughter, Simisola, to the buzzing nightlife of clubbing and alcohol consumption—at just 17!
You dey wonder why dem mama for Naija go do such thing? Well, in her recent chat with the well-known content creator, Mr. Lilgaga, Laide dey share why she made such a wakawaka choice. According to her, it’s because she wants to be remembered by her daughter, for this first-time experience.
“Na me carry my daughter go clubbing for the very first time at 17. I dey happy say for her memoir, she go fit mention me as the first person wey show her nightlife!” Laide revealed confidently. Wahala be like wetin again?
But, the actress took it further by shedding some light on her intentions. Instead of leaving Simisola to discover the club scene through peer influence or on her own, Laide chose to be the one showing her the ropes. A sort of mother-daughter bonding over loud music, strobe lights, and maybe a cocktail or two. Sound fun, abi?
Now, how many Nigerian parents go fit get mind do this kind thing? But Laide believes it’s a better approach, as per Naija mom wey wan dey in control. She added, “At least, she go talk say na my mama first show me di world of fun and clubbing.”
